A member asked:

Can eus visualize gallbladder polyps? what is the best imaging modality for differentiating benign vs. malignant polyp? should symptomatic polyp indicate cholecystectomy regardless of size? what growth rate is significant for surgical referral? thx

Send us the report: Polyps in gall bladder can not be visualized with the EUS because it is not possible to get inside the gall bladder(cystic duct is too narrow to get into). If you can send us the report that you are concerned about we can guide you further. Removal of the GB may be indicated if there is any suspicion of a mass bigger than 5-6 mm in size.
