No: When there is "normal bacteria" it implies that the collection method was poor. A squat & pee collection, rather than one catheterized or truly clean midstream catch will have some vaginal wash out germs, but these are expected with any such specimen. BV is a clinical diagnosis based on symptoms and a wet prep of vaginal secretions examined under a microscope.

Macrobid was called in for a suspected UTI due to burning. After taking two doses, I was able to leave a urine sample at my doctors office which came back normal. Should I continue the Macrobid until the full culture comes back or discontinue?
Had a urinalysis done for recurring UTIs and my urinalysis showed I had normal counts of ureaplasma. culture also showed Strep b, staph aureus, and BV. I am on a long term course of macrobid. Is ureaplasma normal and does partner need to be treated?
Can UTI cause hip/back pain? Took cefdinir for UTI all pain gone. No bacteria in urinalysis and no growth culture but took one dose macrobid two days prior. 0-2 RBC, 21-50 WBC, leuko erat +. All else neg. Have trapped stone and on warfarin.
