Abd pain/nausea. egd showed quite a lot of bile in my stomach &patchy redness. pyloric valve working normal. started on ppi. awaiting biopsy causes?

Biopsy will tell: Usually the gastric biopsy will tell if there is any infection (specifically H, pylori - which can cause gastritis and ulcers) or if there is cancer, and help differentiate between acute and chronic gastritis. Since you mentioned bile (a possible irritant to the stomach lining and esophagus) you might have biliary reflux - however a normal pyloric valve would usually prevent that. Best wishes!
