Egd showed moderately severe gastritis and duodenitis with erosions.biopsies negative for h.p. been taking ppis for 2 weeks and added carafate last friday. still get acid taste in mouth, even on empty stomach. how long does it take to heal stomach?

More details are needed to address your health specifically. In general, the stomach needs a month to health, then again if the irritant continues, smoking, alcohol, ibuprofen, sleep apnea, late-night eating then the healing slows down, like putting salt on a wound.
