A member asked:

My husband had an operation where his prostate was removed 5 years ago. ever since he has pain and discomfort in his private parts. the urologist says there is nothing wrong, but the pain and discomfort don't go away. psa reading always between 2-3.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pelvic pain?: After removal of the prostate, there is often a lack of libido and functional fertility . The operation can cause adhesions, which can cause pain with movement. Ask your healthcare provider for the name of another urologist for a second opinion, and go with your husband to the appointment.
