I recently had a biopsy of my prostate because my PSA level was 15. No cancer was found. Now my urologist wants me to get an MRI. Is this necessary?
53 yr. old male/PSA 5.3. Urologists Digital rectal exam shows moderately enlarged prostate no lumps/nodules/hardening. Gave Flomax and retest PSA in 1 month. Urine/CBC normal. Can prostate cancer cause enlarged prostate without lumps, etc? Or BPH?
My PSA has been fluctuating from 5.7 ( 2018 ) to 4.0 ( 2019) to 5.1 (2020) to 6.1(2023). My free psa is currently 30% for my psa reading of 6.1. My prostate size is 84cc. I am 62 years old. I had a negative biopsy in 2018. Do I need to get a MRI ?

38y.o. man w/ mildly enlarged prostate noted incidentally on pelvic mri. Path report recommended more specific prostate mri but doc thought unnecessary due to psa being wnl (.9 psa & 32.2% free psa). Worrisome for cancer? Push for mri or no big deal?
