I hit my head on the car door a little over a week ago.it created a large bump. ive been picking at it,will this cause the hematoma to become serious?

Bump: Hematoma or contusion should resolve in a 7 to 10 day period. Although picking at it is not helpful as long as you are not scratching the skin this should still resolve. Although if you are traumatizing the area then that will delay healing. Cool compress OK.
