A member asked:

11month throwing up phlegm and giving watery nappies. no fever.does not want to eat. what can i give her? should i take her to a doctor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can call Dr. first: One's primary care doctor can help. Vomiting and diarrhea go together, and many patients have both. Often, symptoms go from top to bottom, with vomiting starting first, and then the diarrhea. When vomiting starts, a person can go into "gastroenteritis mode" and stop eating solids for a day, but drink small amounts (depends on one's age and weight) of Pedialyte or other rehydrating fluid each hour.
