A member asked:

My child is 11 weeks old and after having taken her vaccinations , has a fever of 38 degrees celsius , i am unsure if i should consult with a doctor ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not unexpected: Low grade fever is a common finding in the 2-3 days after vaccinations. It is a good sign the kids immune system is active in recognizing the vaccines. It is not a sign of a bad side effect. You can call if you wish but this is relatively normal. Mention it at the next regular visit. Persistence beyond 3-4 days would be unusual.
