A member asked:

A toddler has 37.7 celcius, if this is a low grade fever, how long does it normally lasts? when to consult a doctor? she's 3, pretty active, not bothered about her temp

Low grade fever: Low grade fever with no change in activity or other symptoms likely due to viral infection. Fever may last for a couple of days. Follow up with doctor if temp increases, activity decreases or if there are symptoms such as ear pain, sore throat, abdominal pain.

Don't bother too: so long she is active and feeding well and no other symptom, most probably it is a mild viral infection, and mild fever is the way to weather out this infection. Consult the doctor if high fever, not responding to fever meds, other bothering symptoms, not being herself or not being active enough, best wishes
