Significant random bruising since on plavix x 1 month for stent. also have lupus and was ill for about 2 weeks with what felt like the flu last week. is bruising likely just related to the plavix or should i be further evaluated?

Probably: Plavix HOWEVER with your history of Lupus , I would get this bruising checked out. Platelet and Coagulation problems have been seen in patients with systemic Lupus! Hope this is elpful Dr Z

Be evaluated.: “Significant bruising” should be investigated, and I would not assume this is a normal reaction to plavix. I recommend consulting your physician to be on the safe side.
