Yes, though tell Dr.: Sorry to hear about your father. Ativan can be helpful for acute anxiety and panic, so it seems reasonable to take a bit more in this crisis, but please tell the doctor who prescribed it. If you take more you'll run out sooner so your Dr. will need to know why. Take additional doses only when really needed so you don't become dependent on higher doses. Consider counseling and Rescue Remedy too.
