It is safe: as long as not doing this regularly. But you should not drive or participate in any potentially dangerous activities while taking Ativan (lorazepam). Taking Ativan (lorazepam) regularly can lead to tolerance, dependence, and/or addiction. It is safe to take on an as needed basis.

Yes: It is safe to take . But the best medication for Panic disorder would be an SSRI type medication to prevent the panic. If you are not on this ask your physician. If you are already taking it, you need a higher dose. Cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT)is very helpful for Panic disorder, along with medication.
