Makes no sense: Fluid behind the ears is a common finding in toddlers and does not cause seizures. It is caused when the normal wall secretions of the middle ears do not drain down a blocked Eustachian tube. It happens with almost any cold at that age. Airborne irritants like fragrances, dust, fumes, etc. can all contribute to this problem. Removing the irritants & doing a good saline washout helps the nose.
