A member asked:

Did eating a caloric deficit for 10 months during ages 15-16 possibly stunt my growth? my bmr was 2300 kcals but i only consumed 1500 for 10 months.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: Whether or not a person's growth slowed down can be seen on the person's growth charts. He can just ask for his growth charts from his pediatrician, to see if there were any sudden drops in weight or height over the years. Calorie counting is not exact, only an estimate. In the big picture, there is nothing that can change the past, so he should work on a better future.
