Hi dr .my bottom lip was torn (inside the mouth about 4cm towards my chin) the scar is still painful 3yrs later ,hard and vissible affecting my smile .is there medication to dissolve scaring you can suggest? initially dissolvable stitches was used.

Scar: Steroid injections e.g. triamcinolone, into scar every 3-4- weeks will help soften scar tissue. may have nerve damage to muscles
