No: It depends on what the wound it. If it is due to an injury then clean the wound and try to tape the wound closed. If it was repaired and it opened up then do the same. Putting topical antibiotics is not always a good idea. Some are allergic to the neosporin. I recommend putting vaseline over the wound because no one is allergic to vaseline (petroleum). I would also have your doctor look at it.
