Healthy calories: If one quarter of a 8 to 10 inch plate is protein such as 3 ounces of lean meat, chicken or fish, and 1/4 is a serving of complex carb such as a 1/2 cup of rice or pasta, and 1/2 of your plate is fresh vegetables ( steam not fried) you should lose weight if you do this for lunch and dinner. You can have a fresh fruit ( one serving) twice a day as a snack and eat a healthy 300-400 calorie breakfast.
