Taking valtrex500mg bid for 17 days already. i have diabetes type 1 doctor wants to increase the dose to 500 mg 2 tabs bid for it to be effective does this have an impact from my herpes infection? (oral and genital) i have this sore for over a month

Uncontrolled diabete: would it impact HSV treatment:? maybe, make sure your diabetes is well controlled , or near good control, while having an active infection. Follow your doctor's recommendations, s/he knows your case better, good luck
