Stress echo: Is not used to diagnose heart failure, but ischemic heart disease. You do have risk factors for both. Have your cardiologist go over the meaning of these tests as sometimes communication seems to lag behind. Losing weight is the way to go and also treating possible undiagnosed conditions, such as sleep apnea.

Stress echo: Looks not for heart failure but for issues with blood supply to the heart where a standard exercise test might be indeterminate. There is also a small false positive rate where misdiagnoses a problem that isn't there. Best to discuss specific interpretation with cardiologist or failing that GP. If in doubt they may choose another test such as angiogram to provide further clarification.

See cardiologist: Just to be safe, see a cardiologist.. If you can walk easily for 1 hour, almost surely not heart failure, and lack of check pain on exercise mitigates against angina, but need cardiology evaluation
