I have been using clenil modulite 100 mcg a few months a year for seasonal mild asthma.and sabutamol 100mcg 2x a week or when needed but not often.i blew a peak flow of 470 gp said last time was 480 so changed me to fostair100/6 whats difference?

Fostair = combo med: Fostair contains beclomethasone, the same steroid present in Clenil, but the 6 refers to Fomoterol, a drug similar to Salbutamol, but slower in onset and longer acting. This combination is considered step-up treatment and is more effective than inhaled steroids only.

Asthma inhalers: Clenil modulite 100 vs fostair 100/6. Both contain the same amount of ICS, beclomethasone, fostair in addition has long acting bronchodilator,formoterol,vs salbutamol, short acting, that you use as needed. Your peak flow readings look stable, and your symptoms too seem controlled. This is a judgment call by your doctor, however, you are using propranolol for migraine, that needs to be revised
