Studies Show....: Studies show that there are some beneficial therapeutic effects of taking a cold shower after exercising. Even better, is to alternate between cold water and warm water while showering. It seems that there is a faster reduction of metabolic waste products as well as accelerated decrease in the muscle inflammation caused by exercise.
