Is it harmful in any way to take a cold shower ~5 times a week? (i turn the water as cold as it can go for 2 min, then take 2 min hot.)

I don't think so: Extreme cold showers for 2 minutes are probably not harmful, however, going from very cold to very hot may cause your body some shock. However, I am sure there are folks out there that will justify literally any practice they follow. I am not sure why you are shocking your body this way, but it seems like the benefit of it from the medical standpoint is minuscule.
