Need more info. : Is this brand new, or has this been going on for a while? Is there any numbness or tingling along with the pain? Does the pain get worse when you grip something? Is there any weakness to the muscles, as far as you can tell? Is this one-sided or both sided? We would need more information before we could hazard a diagnosis.

Wrist pain: can be tendonitis, wrist joint synovitis, disorders of cartilage, early rx includes ice, saids and gentle ( not too tight) wrist splinting. If pain persists see a health care provider. They can examine you and take X-rays. Tendonitis does not show on X-ray but ligament disorders may show as uneven arrangement of bones as well as ruling out fracture or arthritis
