i'm having a throbbing pain on the top of my right hand, it actually just woke me up in the middle of the night. not my wrist or forearm. just hand.

If it recurs: If it is still present or recurs tonight, consider the way you are sleeping. Maybe sleeping on your side with your hand under a pillow, cutting off circulation. Or maybe you are displaying symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Consider a visit to your local doctor. There are a couple of things they can do in the office to rule it out.
