synovitis: All of the tendons in your arms are c covered by tenosynovium. It lubricates them, gives them nutrition. Rarely, the tenosynovium gets inflamed and causes arm pain and numbness. T the synovium in the carpal tunnel swells and compresses the median nerve =carpal tunnel syndrome. Rest and anti-inflammatory meds are the treatment. Often cortisone is needed.
