Post op pain: What you describe may or may not be within normal limits of what you call "normal". Speak to the dentist who removed your tooth who know you and your situation best. Regardless your dentist is responsible for post op evaluation. Call.

It will get better: Pain is expected after dental extraction. It is at its worse for 48 hours(3 days) and then will diminish over the next 2-3 days and go away completely in 7-10 days. You can take some paracetamol/Tylenol if it it is too uncomfortable.

Speak to Dentist: Pain should be beginning to ease off. Remember, you had surgery probably the presence of infection. If you are concerned return to your Dentist for a post-surgical evaluation. He/she's the person that knows your situation best.
