Long QT: Prolongation of the QT interval occurs in certain congenital disorders and may be caused by certain medications like quinidine or by metabolic derangements like low calcium or low potassium(actually a QU prolongation). I am not aware of carbohydrates or acidosis causing QT prolongation.
