It can cause some: people to feel weary. The problem with a very low carb diet is that when you start eating more normal amounts of carbs you can regain weight quickly. Take care.

Sure, but...: Those no carb diets all work by the same mechanism every diet on earth works by: less calories in. The key is that if you eat enough calories to gain weight but do it from fats and protein alone, it'll make you sick, so most people end up eating substantially less. Try it and see (myfitnesspal is a great app for this). Every 3500 cal missed (or so), another pound will fall off.

Few, mostly good ∆es: though some people have problems with constipation during 1st month, if they rapidly convert. Including lots of healthy saturated fats of natural origin (eg. butter, high fat meats, coconut, palm, olive oils) typically prevents this complication & adds additional benefits: ↓.appetite, ↓ triglycerides, improved lipoproteins (LDL↓ & Large-HDL↑). Study NuSI.org & my many answers on these topics.

Low Carb: In addition to the excellent info you already received, I would mention that low carb will put your body into ketosis. Ketosis is a state where our body uses fat for fuel rather than sugar, thus it it fat-burning. This can help reduce sugar craving and lower weight. Do this under guidance from your doc. Peace and good health.

Low carbs is theBEST: Low carbs is the beeest! basically, your choices for each meal includes protein, fat, carbs, and veggies. It is always best to focus on protein and veggies. Avoid fats (fried foods, grease, etc. Avoid sugars and white carbs (white rice, bread, white pasta). Some brown carbs are ok since they seem to lead to a slower rise in sugar levels (keeps hunger from surging). Sooo, low carbs is the beeest!
