Meat and fiber: A low carb diet basically focuses on meat (hopefully lean protein like chicken or pork) with high fiber, low starch vegetables like leafy greens. Avoid grains and avoid root vegetables, as these are high in starch. Of course, avoid sugary snacks, as well.
