Low back pain: I would start with a physician for diagnosis and treatment. Possibilities include lumbosacral strain or other injury, inflammation of the vertebral spine as seen in types of arthritis, or pathologic fracture. In the meantime apply cold applications and, if you can take them, take anti-inflammatory medication like Advil or Aleve with food. Tylenol can also be added for more pain relief.
