I have a pain running down my back muscle as yesterday i woke up with it. i am unable to lift my left arm above my chin and last night i had no sleep. any position i lay in is uncomfortable. do i see a doctor or chiropractor?

Nerve inflammation: Bent neck sleeping positions can strain the neck & the nerves leading from your spinal column. This strain can cause muscle spasms. It is not dangerous, only uncomfortable. Try to identify what caused you to sleep with your neck bent. Use ice at the back of your neck/back and ibuprofen to reduce inflammation. Rest the area, and do only light stretches.
