Chronic Pain: If the pain persists for 3 month or more it is considered chronic. In this case you should see pain management specialist. He/she can do interventional pain procedure under the fluoroscopy. You also need comprehensive evaluation and imaging before the treatment.

You need a confirmed diagnosis initially to determine the best approach to treatment. Start with your primary care doctor, get examination and possible imaging. A physiatrist would be a valuable resource to design a treatment program. An osteopathic physician would be a more effective option than a chiropractor.
