Hi can you tell me the difference between thyroid nodules and an inflammed thyroid? my doctor said my thyroid was inflammed and he cannot feel nodules

Different: Inflammation is like a bruise, with swelling and infiltration of white blood cells. A nodule is a solid mass, which may be difficult to feel and need an ultrasound exam to discover.Episodes of inflammation can lead to the production of nodules.
