Is it true tat in foot&ankle surgery, in order fo get through to the bones, some micro small nerves have to be cut. n these nerves cannot be repaired?

Usually no problem.: The short answer is yes. Though some small nerves will undoubtedly be traumatized, the injury is minimized by knowing where to make appropriate incisions, thus minimizing disruption of normal nerve physiology. In almost all cases, the nerves completely recover, without the need for repair of any type.
