Cystic bone lesion: A bone lesion in the ankle after surgical excision can take a whiel to 'fill in' and heal. If the leasion was within the ankle mortise and involved the talus, weight bearing can also have a bearing on the healing process. The ankle will swell for a period of time. Consult your surgeon and discuss physical therapy, and options for reducing the discomfort.

Foot/Ankle pain: Yes i would be concerned about pain to my foot /ankle. This does not mean that there is any thing grossly wrong but it should be investigated. Go back to your surgeon and get to the bottom of this. It you are not satisfied get a 2nd opinion. This is the only body that you will get and no one can tell you that you will be fine in time over the internet in this type of forum.
