A member asked:

Would an abdominal/pelvic ct scan w/contrast typically miss colon cancer? i have severe constipation and pencil thin stools but ct scan was normal.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

CT scan is not: best test for detection of small colorectal cancers. A sigmoidoscoy or colonoscopy is a much better test. You need to ask your doctor for proper referral if cancer is suspected.
