Conservative first: Gluteus medius tear is always graded.From grade 1 to grade 4.Surgery is not always adviced.The treatment is conservative.Initial rest followed by physical therapy and rehabilitation.Oral Anti inflammatory meds.cortisone injections .If in 3to6 months of conservative treatment gluteus medius is not functioning well and causes pain then surgery is adviced to repair the tear.It can be done arthroscopi
