My college soccer son has torn his quad 3 times since last oct. same side, diff. areas. now he has a sport hernia and needs surgery. what's up with all the tears?mri for quad shows lots of scar tissue. he used to take prednisone? i'm grasping.

Options: No need to grasp. Prednisone may have predisposed his tissues to injury. Sounds like he keep re-injuring the same area (therefore causing "lots of scar tissue"). Options include regenerative/stem cell treatments vs. surgery. Always seek a second opinion or two. How is the hernia related? May I assume this is a groin hernia? Happy to answer more if more info supplied.
