Doctor visit: In a normal pregnancy one expects to see a fetal pole with a heart beat by 6-7 weeks gestation. If your sonogram shows a collapsed sac then this may indicate the pregnancy is not progressing normally. It will be important to have your doctor evaluate you and determine if a miscarriage has occurred.
