Dental implants: Discuss with your dentist. They want to make certain your bone/implant is OK. Or they are very busy.

No: It takes 4-6 months for the bone to integrate around the implant fixture before it is strong enough to support the abutment and crown. If pressures are placed on an implant fixture too early it jeopardizes the success of the implant. It takes my lab about 2 weeks to fabricate the restorative components.

Integration: It usually takes 3+ months for a new implant to integrate into the bone and become fully stable. While this is going on the temporary fixture at the top of the implant is helping contour your gum tissue. After that custom crowns will be fabricated (one size does not fit all). Please follow your Dentist's knowledgeable advice.

Restorations: Apparently you've had two implants placed and are now waiting for them to heal. Without more information, it is a guessing game to answer your question accurately. Allow your restorative dentist to explain the process to you.
