Possibly: More likely however that you may have inadvertently swallowed some of the fluoride during treatment. It could also be coincidental.

Doubtful: Do you have a similar reaction when you brush your teeth with a fluoridated toothpaste? Patients are usually instructed not to eat/drink for an hour after topical fluoride placement, so it's possible you didn't give the fluoride a chance to properly "set." Don't be concerned. Just inform the Dentist/Hygienist at your next visit.
