Many other things: CBT is excellent treatment, but there are other things you can do on your own while waiting - meditation, learning relaxation techniques, using guided imagery relaxation tapes and others. Herbal teas containing chamomille and valerian root can also be helpful. Buspirone, a non-benzodiazepine anti-anxiety drug, can be effective but does take several weeks to work.
