If you on effexorxr 225mg daily for anxiety/panic and still have to take ocassionaly a benzo such as valium 5mg or rivotril 0.5mg say 3-4 times a week at night. does it mean the snri is not working well? should other options be considered?

SNRI: Yes, I do think if you are on effexor at that dose and still needing anti anxiety medication that often you may want to inquire about another medication or getting therapy to deal with anxiety at night in other ways - meditation, relaxation etc.
