Bruise: What you noticed is likely a bruise which is not uncommon after a dental procedure. It sometimes may be visible on the cheek as well. I trust you followed your dentist's advice about cold compresses for the first few hours. If the spot spread, you may wish to contact your dentist. Wish you good health.

Tooth: Make sure it is not getting infected. Take pain relief, oral antibiotics and rinse your mouth with salt water , at least, after every time you eat. U don't want food stuck at the site. If getting worse with swelling get back to your dentist sooner than later .
