A member asked:

Had tooth extraction 2 days ago, no complications (molar, lower jaw). most pain gone, gums look ok. how long until soreness gone and its all healed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Healing: Healing should progress uneventfully. You should be a little less sore every day with most soreness gone in under 2 weeks. Bone and soft tissues will take longer to heal, with the majority of healing changes completed in about 6 months. Usually important to have extracted tooth replaced (implant/crown or bridge) to prevent occlusion from collapsing. Talk to your Dentist.
