Rsv/om: RSV can take awhile to recover. 50% of those infants that wheeze will go on to develop asthma, esp with family hx. Treat now if no wheezing as a cold with finishing antibiotic for ear infection. Welcome to Health tap Dr. Ivy Fisher

Slow to resolve: Kids with their first bout of RSV in infancy often remain wheezy for months and recover slowly. A month out from her hospital stay it would be expected for her to be congested & wheezy. The RSV can be part of what made her prone to an ear infection but is rarely the only germ involved. These kids may wheeze every season until school age when at least half will grow out of it.
