A member asked:

3 months old baby has been having wet stools, at first with a cold and now with rsv / ear infection. stools look mucousy as if she's swallowed phlegm. today she had 2 bms at daycare, 1 at home, and passed gas that stained her diaper. she's feeding great b

A doctor has provided 1 answer

3 month caution: 3 months is an age where infections and dehydration may be serious, so a visit to the MD may be in order. On the upside, a few mucous stools while still feeding well is typically nothing to worry about. Kids who eat well are very rarely if ever seriously ill.
