Depends on condition: It depends on how your condition responds to treatment. I suggest discussing when a follow-up endoscopy may be advised with the physician who did your initial endoscopy. That physician should be following the response of your condition to treatment.

I was diagnosed with GERD 3 years ago by endoscopy. Is there any reason to follow-up w/ a doc or is this just something I have to learn to live with?
I recently had an upper endoscopy because of GERD symptoms and all looked normal. Dr thought it was psychological. So I stopped taking esomeprazole but now have heartburn after eating. Can I still have heartburn even with no damage to the esophagus?
