I was diagnosed with gerd 3 years ago by endoscopy. is there any reason to follow-up w/ a doc or is this just something i have to learn to live with?

Barrett's screening: you should have another endoscopy once you've had symptoms ~5y - to make sure you're not developing any changes in the lining of your esophagus called Barrett's esophagus. but other than that, make lifestyle changes and take medication as needed to control your reflux symptoms.
